By using WhatIff (the “Service”) you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
1. What WhatIff is — and isn’t
WhatIff is an independent, information-only service that shows anonymised, crowd-sourced home-loan rate data for comparison and education. We are not a bank, lender, broker, direct selling agent (DSA), loan service provider (LSP) or financial adviser. We do not arrange, facilitate, apply for, or refer you for any loan, and we are not paid by any lender. Nothing on the Service is financial, legal or tax advice, an offer, a solicitation, or a recommendation to take any particular loan or action.
2. No guarantee of outcomes
The figures shown — rates, ranges, savings, fees and any “doors” — are estimates based on data borrowers report and on published reference figures. They may be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and your own eligibility, pricing and costs are decided solely by lenders. We do not guarantee any rate, saving or result. Always verify with your bank and make your own decision, ideally with a qualified professional.
3. Your responsibilities
- Submit only accurate, first-hand information about your own loan.
- Don’t submit false, misleading, spam or automated entries. Don’t enter anyone’s sensitive personal or account details.
- Don’t attempt to scrape, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service, or access data you’re not meant to.
To keep the data honest we rate-limit submissions, flag out-of-range entries, and may revoke access for accounts that repeatedly submit out-of-range or bad data.
4. Accounts
Adding a rate requires a sign-in used only to reduce spam and fake data (see the Privacy Policy). Keep your credentials secure; you’re responsible for activity under your account.
5. Intellectual property
The Service, its design and its aggregated content are ours or our licensors’. By submitting data you grant us a licence to use it in anonymised, aggregated form to operate and improve the Service.
6. Limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Service or reliance on any figure shown, including any decision to take, keep, switch or reprice a loan.
7. Third-party links
Any links to lenders or other sites are for convenience only and don’t imply endorsement or any relationship. We’re not responsible for their content or practices.
8. Changes and termination
We may change, suspend or discontinue the Service or these terms at any time; the “last updated” date will change. We may suspend access that breaches these terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to applicable law.
